Practice is available at the Ski Club for those who can already ski or snowboard. This means people who have completed the course of four beginner classes at the Ski Club or have had at least 1 week on snow. Practice skiers or snowboarders must be able to control their speed, direction, turn, stop and use the ski lift.
Children under the age of 8 can only do a practice if they have used the button lift during Kindergarten lessons at Ski Club of Ireland.
It is a great way to get fit for your next ski or snowboarding holiday and get some tips from our instructors who are always happy to share their knowledge and experience.
A practice session is for up to 2 hours any evening from 19.30 to 22.00 or at the weekends from 11:00 to 17.00. All practice sessions must be booked online in advance.
Snowboarders* can also practice on Sunday evenings -18.30 to 20.00.
You might wish to practice on a regular basis during the season, then you should consider looking at our membership and season ticket options and even get involved in club activities. You can now buy your season ticket online.
All equipment is included in the price however you are welcome to use your own skis, boots and snowboards.
Due to Covid restrictions, please come ready to ski or snowboard. At present you cannot use the changing rooms or lockers.
What to Bring:
Warm outdoor clothing, gloves, long sleeves, and waterproof are recommended as your lesson will take place even if it rains. Please arrive 40 minutes before starting time of lesson, to get fitted with boots, skis/board etc.
Before your first visit please read and complete the following 2 forms and for parents please complete on behalf of your children under 18 years:

*Snowboard practice has an age and height limit due to equipment size:
Age limit 12 years
Minimum Height: 1.4 meters
Minimum Shoe: Size 3
