Children and Youth Ski Classes
For children aged 8 and over we offer classes at 11am and 3pm on Saturdays and 11am and 3pm on Sundays. Children's classes take an hour and a half and are in sets of four lessons. Children can progress quickly and we have different levels of lessons to meet their requirements e.g. Youth Improvers on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. It will teach them to:
- control speed during linked turns
- develop turn shape and size
- strengthen and maintain balance
- build confidence when skiing on steeper terrain
For those who really take to it and want to develop their racing skills plus become a season ticket holder, we have two different groups that they can join the Mini's on Saturday mornings suitable for children up to 10 years or for older children and teenagers, they can join the Sunday morning Race Squad. For more information please visit www.sciracing.ie.
Children under the age of 7 can only do a practice if they have used the button lift during Kindergarten lessons at Ski Club of Ireland.
Note: Everybody using the slopes must have completed an Indemnity Form. The Ski Club's Indemnity form can be downloaded here. All those under 18 must have a parent sign their registration form at their first lesson or practice.
