OUR HISTORY
OUR BEGINNING
Ski Club of Ireland has been at the heart of Irish skiing for over half a century, fostering a community of passionate enthusiasts and introducing countless people to the joys of the sport. Founded in 1964, the Club has grown from humble beginnings into one of Europe’s premier destinations for dry-slope skiing.
In 1969, just five years after its establishment, the Club built its first ski slope on the grounds of Knockrabo House, located on Mount Anville Road in Goatstown, Co. Dublin. This marked the beginning of the Club’s mission to create accessible skiing experiences for Irish enthusiasts.
By the mid-1970s, the Club had outgrown its original location and made the pivotal decision to relocate to Kilternan, a scenic site in South County Dublin. This move laid the foundation for the state-of-the-art facilities we enjoy today.
