OUR INSTRUCTORS

Expert Instruction

At Ski Club of Ireland, our instructors are truly the heart and soul of our operations. Each instructor is passionate about winter sports, bringing a wealth of experience and international qualifications to every lesson. They are committed to providing personalised guidance and expertly tailored instruction that caters to the needs of both skiers and snowboarders, regardless of their skill level.

Whether you are a first-timer looking to learn the basics or an experienced enthusiast seeking to refine advanced techniques, our team is here to ensure your progression is both effective and enjoyable. Our instructors focus on fostering a supportive and engaging environment, making each session not just educational but truly memorable. With our dedicated professionals, you’re not just learning new skills; you’re creating lasting memories on the slopes.

World Class Expertise

Our Ski and Snowboarding Instructors are trained to the highest international standards, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to every lesson. Each year, our instructors participate in a comprehensive three-day intensive training course at Kilternan in September. This annual refresher keeps them up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and ensure they deliver modern, effective, and engaging instruction.

Many of our instructors have taught not only in Ireland but also in some of the world’s most iconic skiing destinations, including the Alps, North America, and Canada. This global experience brings unique insights, allowing them to offer teaching approaches that mirror those of top international resorts.

The IASI Curriculum

To ensure consistent progress and confidence-building, all lessons at the Ski Club of Ireland strictly follow the IASI (Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors) curriculum. This internationally recognized system is designed to help skiers and snowboarders build their skills step by step, whether you’re a:

  • Beginner taking your first runs.
  • Intermediate skier improving control and technique.
  • Advanced skier ready to tackle bumps, powder, or backcountry challenges.
  • Racer looking for precision and speed on the slopes.

With a tailored approach to teaching, our instructors adapt each session to your skill level, learning pace, and individual goals.
